R SOC430 - Social Impact Assessment

Examination of the theory and application of social impact assessment methods with a focus on the evaluation of environment and natural resource regulatory policy and planning. Includes a series of case studies of recent environmental policy proposals to illustrate the methods used to evaluate the social and cultural impacts of such proposals. Prerequisite: One of the following: R SOC 355, or equivalent, or consent of Instructor. Credit will only be given for one of R SOC 430, R SOC 530, AREC 450 or 550.
